SOUTHPORT LEARNING TRUST SUPPORTS WIGAN ATHLETIC COMMUNITY TRUST CYCLE RIDE FOR KNOWKNIFECRIME

Police forces across the country have been taking action to tackle knife crime — and Lancashire Police have been out with the incredible kNOwKnifeCrime campaigners, raising awareness and funds for vital bleed control kits across our communities. The momentum continued with a 21-mile cycle ride from Southport to Wigan with members of Wigan Athletic Community Trust and students from Southport Learning Trust showed their support as part of the campaign. We were proud to team up and pass the “bleed kit baton” to the cyclists as they begin their journey through Lancashire and into Greater Manchester with our pupils completing a short run in Southport, where they met Wigan Athletic Trust to hand over the baton at one of our bleed control kit cabinets. We then cheered the riders on with a student parade as they set off on their epic ride!
