Welcome to Southport Learning Trust

I am delighted to welcome you to Southport Learning Trust, an inspirational multi academy trust that stands at the forefront of educational excellence and community engagement. Southport Learning Trust is one of the largest employers in Southport and surrounding areas thanks to our collaboration of schools which include Bedford Primary, Birkdale High, Greenbank High, Kew Woods Primary, Maghull High, Merefield School, Meols Cop High, Range High School, Stanley High School. The trust is the heartbeat of the local community and its network spans over 800 employees. Southport Learning Trust is built on its four pillars – Academic Excellence, Realising Aspirations, Investing in our People and Inclusive Education, which enables students to have access to the highest quality of education.

Our desire is for strong Local Governing Bodies focused whole heartedly on improving the life chances of children supported by an experienced and diverse Trust Board as set out within the parameters of our scheme of delegation. All schools growing into our family of schools are expected to commit to our vision and values and the spirit of collaboration and professional generosity that characterises our Trust.

We are determined to demonstrate that local schools, working together and growing with talented leadership and staff, can create the conditions for all our students, no matter what their starting point, to achieve the combination of skills, qualities, qualifications and aptitudes that will enable them to thrive in a complex world.

We are growing as a Well School Trust ensuring we have a commitment to support the wellbeing of all members of our community.

I am privileged as an experienced educational leader, who has always believed and driven local and national collaboration, to have led the Trust since it was founded in 2017 supported by a highly skilled Trust board and Headteachers, central team, senior and middle leaders who are fully engaged with supporting our vision as one team.
